Gods Purpose Knows No Bounds
As we draw to a close the Advent season, getting prepared for the coming of Jesus, let us reflect on something!
Just how mysterious it is, God comes to us in the form of a human being. If you can phantom it just for a moment, just how some people would call it weird, others would call it profound! But what it really was is Wonderful.
Have you noticed how as a people, we are easily mesmerized at the first, but we become desensitized after period of time. I remember when I deployed over seas, and never ever have I rode in a luxury car that was of high dollar. This one country I was at had high dollar cars as a TAXI, Mercedes, Roles Royces, BMW’s. Coming back to the states, well needless to say I was not impressed but rather grateful for what I did have at the cost of being somewhat selfish. What little I had would have made a tremendous impact on someone else. Some others in the world would love just to have the scrapes from my dinner table.
See, we become more involved with our lives and our stuff than we should. Much like Israel in the Old Testament, I am reminded when before Saul became king, God was their leader. Israel insisted they wanted a king like other nations of the world. So God blessed them their first king (SAUL) which ultimately resulted in failure in the end.
Mankinds motives are not prevalent towards Gods ultimate Purpose and Plan for our lives. The bible is riddled with examples.

After spending a week in the remote jungles of Peru on a Hand of Hope medical/dental missions outreach, I am reminded yet again that God’s love truly knows no bounds.
It is a truth that has been well established in my soul for many years, yet every time I experience God on the mission field, it manages to catch me off guard as if I am discovering it for the very first time. I am reminded that there is no heart His love cannot reach, no soul beyond His grasp, no individual outside his line of vision.
In each corner of the world, the needs of the people look different. In some places, like Ethiopia, they are glaringly obvious and visually devastating. While in others, like the jungle village of Mazan, Peru, you have to look a little more closely to see them. You may not see belly after belly distended in malnourishment or bodies riddled with disease. But you will see severe tooth infections and open wounds that when left untreated could easily become just as life threatening. You will see babies covered from head to toe in scabies and mommas hoping and praying that their children find some relief.
The heartache of a mother watching her child suffer is the same regardless of geographic location or the severity of the physical condition. But just as the heartache is the same, so too is the joy and hope they experience when offered a solution.
WOW! Offer a solution!
You see friends, God provided us with a solution to SIN! Not too many people associate Christmas or Advent with SIN, but it absolutely is connected in more ways than one!
In this life, there is no other way to be redeemed into a New and Vigurious life until it is entered into Gods purpose. A purpose that each one of us has. Prophet Jeremiah tells us “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Now let me shift focus just a little bit and onto Elizabeth, close kin to Mary. So she was barren, and being of older age much like Sarah, Abrahams wife. God conceived to her by the Holy Spirit a child whom we know as John the Baptist.
Without a doubt, I know people today, thinking they have no purpose in life, they are useless, old maybe, feeble, ignorant, not talented, ugly, weird, and so many other things that are NOT TRUE.
Elizabeth I’m sure was filled with great joy knowing she once again can bear a child. But not only that, look what she done mentioned in Gospel of Luke “Elizabeth heard the greetings from mary, and the baby in her wound leaped and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost!” and it goes on to say “She spoke to mary saying, Blessed are though among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.”
Elizabeth was blessed and highly favored to help prepare the way of Gods purpose, even at her old age!
One thing I wanted to mention here, when scripture tells us the Holy Spirit, its mentioned in Acts (Day of Pentecost) where the Holy Spirit is freely given to all whom believe, just think this was long before that. God’s purpose and plan to offer us a solution and provide the Holy Spirit which Old Testament is filled with, is readily available to Elizabeth and Mary and now friends ALL who trust in the Lord, who knows him by name.
God has a purpose and plan for each of us, yes and that includes you!
I remember a statement Charles Stanley said once “God will move heaven and earth to get your attention and to the point!”
INCLOSING
Let me read to you from Psalms a great testimony I think is prevalent to Gods Purpose
In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled;
The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken,
Because He was angry.
8 Smoke went up from His nostrils,
And devouring fire from His mouth;
Coals were kindled by it.
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down
With darkness under His feet.
10 And He rode upon a cherub, and flew;
He flew upon the wings of the wind.
11 He made darkness His secret place;
His canopy around Him was dark waters
And thick clouds of the skies.
12 From the brightness before Him,
His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire.
13 The Lord thundered from heaven,
And the Most High uttered His voice,
[d]Hailstones and coals of fire.
OK NOW LISTEN TO THIS
14 He sent out His arrows and scattered [e]the foe,
Lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them.
15 Then the channels of the sea were seen,
The foundations of the world were uncovered
At Your rebuke, O Lord,
At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
16 He sent from above, He took me;
He drew me out of many waters.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy,
From those who hated me,
For they were too strong for me.
18 They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
But the Lord was my support.
19 He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.
20 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness;
According to the cleanness of my hands
He has recompensed me.
21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord,
And have not wickedly departed from my God.
God is furious when we are in distress, when we are disobedient, but he absolutely will do what ever it takes to make a way for us when we are in his ultimate purpose and plan, Amen.
